Below is a guide to the essential oils I have purchased and used and their uses and properties.

Lavender

Recommended for: Insomnia, anxiety, depression, stress, pain relief, skin disorders, cuts and burns.

Suggested Use:

Add 4 or 5 drops to your bath water to relieve aching muscles and stress.

Use in conjunction with a carrier oil and massage into your skin as a relief against muscular aches or joint paint, skin conditions or to aid restful sleep.

Add to your oil burner/diffuser to relieve insomnia and stress.

Can also be used in homemade natural cleaning products.

 

Frankincense

Recommended for: Stress, anger, anxiety, despair, dry skin and as a pain relief.

Suggested Use:

Add a couple of drops to your daily moisturiser to help dry skin.

Add 4 or 5 drops to your bath water to aid relaxation and to moisturise the skin.

Add to your oil burner/diffuser to fragrance the home.

Can also be used in homemade natural cleaning products and cosmetics

 

Peppermint

Recommended for: Anxiety, pain, vomiting, memory loss, bacterial and fungal infections and as a insect repellent.

Suggested use:

Add a few drops to your shampoo to eliminate dandruff or head lice.

Use as a chest rub or in a vaporiser as a decongestant.

Massage into the skin to help with aching muscles or onto the temples of the head to relieve headaches.

Can be used in homemade cleaning products for its fresh scent and antibacterial properties.

 

Sandalwood

Recommended for: Wounds, sores, boils, coughs and colds, memory loss, improving concentration and high blood pressure.

Suggested use:

Used in oil burner/diffuser to fragrance your home and eliminate pathogens within the air, particularly in winter.

Rub onto the affected area of the skin as an antiseptic.

Use as a natural deodorant to relieve body odour.

 

Rosemary

Recommended for: Stress, anxiety, pain, respiratory problems, mood swings, memory loss and infections.

Suggested use:

Used in oil burners/diffusers to help ease respiratory problems.

Massage onto painful areas of the body as a form of pain relief.

Add 4 or 5 drops to your bath water to aid relaxation and strengthen the immune system.

 

Fennel

Recommended for: Dizziness, fatigue, exhaustion, indigestion, wind, menstrual and menopausal problems.

Suggested use:

Used in oil burners/diffusers to fragrance the home and help relieve fatigue.

Massage onto the skin to alleviate digestion problems and to ease menstruation pains.

Can be used in homemade cleaning and cosmetic products particularly for it’s sweet and uplifting fragrance.
